monday link love

I almost forgot to post a monday link love this week because I forgot it was Monday… long weekends are confusing. Here’s a few things to read this (short) week.

A lot of people I know seem to be canoeing the islands and Casey over at Waffling Blog did it and shared it and it makes me want to do it. Get inspired to explore with her post on it!

Although most of these I’ve seen many times before, it’s still helps to be refreshed on healthy habits for lunch time at the office, thanks FitSugar!

NelleCreations has a fun contest on right now for the Lole White Tour in Toronto (it’s on August 22nd, a day before this other super fun event) – check it out and enter now!

Have a fabulous short week!

This week’s monday link love has a bit of theme to it. Vegetables. I very much dislike most vegetables – not all but most and I’m always looking for ways to sneak them into my meals. Here’s a few posts I found this week that help with the cause.

I don’t mind asparagus – mostly because usually I cover it in butter and garlic, but a beautiful mess takes it to the next level with crunchy, cheesy asparagus.

Anyone who knows me, knows I’m a fan of carbs, so sometimes I try to sneak some veggies in with my carbs – smitten kitchen‘s got a recipe for squash pasta and it looks delicious!

And the girls on bloor have you covered in Toronto with a new food ordering app that allows you to skip the line and pay before you get there. They also have a promo code and a contest running for this new app – and let’s just pretend we’ll eat our veggies!

Have a great week!

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. Mine was so crazy, I’m pretty sure I’ll be asleep by 10 tonight. Here’s some stuff I’m loving around the interwebs this week (ok, couple weeks – I’m just catching up now).

‘Tis the season for delicious summery cocktails, The Sweet Escape has 5 cocktails for you to try this summer (or this week, no judgement).

Because cake = delicious and cinnamon bun = delicious, you need to check out smilingrid‘s cinnamon roll cake!

The wonderful ladies over at Schoolhouse Booze took a trip outside of the city and met a bunch of awesome people passionate about booze doing some amazing things with it. Read up on these great places and go out and visit them because local matters!

I hope you all have a fabulous week – what should I be reading around the internet?

Happy Monday! I totally missed last week because I’m terrible but mostly because I forgot what day it was. Here’s a few posts I’m lovin’ this week!

I love little road trips (and long ones but more about that later) but The Yum Yum Factor has introduced me to a new part of southern ontario to explore. Looks perfect for a Saturday in the summer.

I wish I carried more cash so I could take advantage of this motivation… I’d love some new work out stuff!

And finally, these are tips for blogger but I think there’s great information here for everyone!

Have a fabulous week!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend! Here’s some things I’m loving this week. I decided, for no real reason, to have a “healthy” theme. Maybe because summer is just around the corner :)

Sometimes, it’s little changes that make big differences – I always like to hear how people are just a little healthier everyday and the Girls of TO have you covered this week.

I am a fan of yoga (see: detox to retox), even when I am not in the mood I still feel satisfied after. Sometimes its too much work to get to the studio – here’s some great before bed yoga you can do at home.

And because sometimes you don’t have time for basically anything… 5 Short Workouts.

What are your little tricks for staying healthy? Or working out when you just don’t have time/feel like it?

I hope you all had a great weekend! Here’s some links I loved this week.

Two of them are from the same blog, with the same theme – The Boston Marathon. I’m always so impressed with marathon runners and I get a kick out of funny signs and cute proposals. FitSugar is my go-to for motivation when I need to hit the gym.

Locally, there’s a new “foodie” neighbourhood, near St. Lawrence Market called Market St. Until April 30th, a number of restaurants on the street will offer a prix-fixe menu. Thanks to the Hip Urban Girls for sharing this.

Have a fabulous week!

Happy Opening Day! I’m so excited that baseball’s back. I think I got a bit of a tan on my balcony yesterday, it was great! Here’s some fun links I found while perusing the interwebs.

In honour of opening day, torontolife shared how the rogers centre (skydome) gets baseball ready. The baseball nerd in me loves this!

Sometimes you need to go to Hamilton, they occasionally have some cool stuff going on. The Curious Creature has you covered on where you should stay. This place looks delightful.

And finally, because we could all use some savings, Who What Wear has the sure fire way to make sure you only buy what you need clothing-wise and ensure you won’t regret a purchase.

Happy Monday. A special happy Monday to those who had the day off. I spent most of the long weekend stuffing my face with no time for blogging. I hope you all enjoyed the long weekend and are ready for the week ahead!

Here’s some links I’ve loved around the internet this week.

This recipe is really for “children” but no judgement because it’s adorable – cookie monster ice cream.

I know lots of people are excited about spring finally being here and the latest wrinkle‘s most recent post makes me want to buy everything!

And I’m sure “Easter” is a loose term in this funfetti cake, no judgement if you want to eat it all the time.

Have a fabulous week!

Happy Monday everyone! Here’s a few links I’m loving around the internet this week.

Even though I’m not a huge oyster fan, I know so many people are and Happy or Hungry‘s post makes me want to like them too.

There’s a long weekend coming up, it’s the perfect time to start an project (like when I built a closet) and you can use Waffling‘s blog for some inspiration as you read up on her den reservations.

I’m looking to spend less money on fast food and restaurants unless it’s really worth it. The Girls on Bloor has you covered with this homemade big mac recipe.

Have a great week!

Hope you enjoyed the first weekend of Spring. Here’s some links I loved from around the internet this week.

I love Happy or Hungry’s blog, her personal stories always put a smile on my face. She got me this week with her first photo  (even though it was a bit of a rant post, which I totally get) :)

Gluten Freedom Toronto always knows the best places in the city to get gluten free food and this week, she posed a delicious looking recipe. I have some frozen bananas, I should make these soon!

My last post this week is another recipe – sesame, garlic and seaweed, a few of my favourite things!

Have a fabulous week!
