Well, it’s finally Friday! I hope you all had a good week. As usual, there is so much going on in the city (including a bunch of road closures), here’s a few of them!
Do: The BIG on Bloor Festival will have Bloor closed between Landsowne and Dufferin. The street will become pedestrian only for the festival which will feature local art, businesses and exhibits. There will be also be musicians, dancers and other performing arts at the festival that runs Saturday and Sunday.
See: Salsa on St. Clair Street Festival is this Saturday and Sunday on St. Clair between Winona and Christie. There will be dancers, live music as well as vendors throughout the weekend. Their site has all the details of when to check out the performances.
Eat: The Taste of Thai is taking place at Nathan Phillips Sqaure tomorrow and Sunday from 12-8pm both days. There will be lots of food, including cooking and fruit carving demonstrations. In addition to the food, there will be performances and authentic Thai products for sale.
Drink: I’ve decided to kind of skip drink this week to feature ANOTHER FREE STREET FESTIVAL (seriously, don’t bother driving downtown this weekend). Tomorrow and Sunday, the Chinatown BIA will be hosting a festival along Dundas W between Spadina and Beverley. There will be food, performances and vendors. It runs tomorrow from 12-11pm and Sunday 11am-8pm.
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend, hopefully it doesn’t rain too much.
