Hope you all had a good week, it should be a fairly nice weekend! Here’s a few things going on in the city.
Do: This Sunday at Habourfront Centre is the Eco-Swap. This event will allow people to bring their books, movies and music to swap. You can only swap items, you can not make any purchases. The rules for the swap are on their site, it’s a great way to update your collection.
See: The Luminato Festival begins tonight. This annual festival celebrates the variety of art that Toronto has to offer. There is music, theatre, visual arts and more. The events happen throughout the city and the festival runs until June 15th. Prices and information are all available on their site.
Eat: If you feel like having a “proper” afternoon, SLICED gourmet is offering an afternoon tea tomorrow for $35. The ticket includes tea lessons and tasting, sweets, fruit and of course those adorable sandwiches that are so delicious even though they’re just little sandwiches Tickets must be purchased before 11pm tonight and no tickets will be available at the door.
Drink: Tonight beginning at 11pm, you can relive the music of the early 2000s at the Drake Hotel. The Y2K: Millennial Dance Party will play everything including one hit wonders and chart toppers, originally from Chicago, they’re bringing a great decade North. Cover is $10.
I hope you all have a great weekend! On a personal note, tonight I will participating at a Relay for Life in York Region. I’ve mentioned Relay before as this is my 2nd year on the committee. If anyone would like to sponsor me for this event, it would be greatly appreciated.
I might be the only person that loves this song, but I don’t even care – I just love Nelly + country music!
